Waterfront reclamation will take a while, Improvement should be done first

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT ZONE - A possible 50 hectares of reclamation in the Waterfront Rd. from The Lighthouse up to the old SBMA office. It'll be a 30-hectare property of land that has a very high value according to the SBMA chief.

Two foreign groups are already looking at this project but the SBMA chairman said that she wants local investors to look at it as well.

We believe, there are many engineers and city planners out there that believes in the vision of a great Waterfront. A Waterfront is something you can't find in Clark, a Bay area is something that you can't find in Clark. That is why Subic should step-up on improving these tourist attractions.

We are also hoping that the Citic Hotels and Leisure Corp. will continue it's commitment to improve the Boardwalk Area that's just beside the Waterfront Rd.

Many businessmen, city-enthusiasts, or even civilians and both local and foreign tourists also agrees to a vision of a Great Subic Waterfront.

We also believe that the current SBMA Chairperson and Administrator has plans and already has a vision on this, and we truly support it.

Many road networks like the Sta. Rita road and Manila Avenue is still not developed and should be improved. The streets surrounding the Sta. Rita road, it can be a six-lane pedestrian friendly road with other road features to be a much greater business district.

Subic has more potential than what everyone sees currently and those who has hope in Subic have seen it even years ago. Everything looks good through the lens of different perspectives.
